came for dinner and had two great dishes, and two i would definitely not order again. the great: pineapple fried rice with shrimp, and rad na with tofu. the rice was super fragrant, and had a mix of scintillating and spicy exotic flavors. it was like a party in your mouth and an instant hit with my two buds. the rad na was hearty and delicious with crisp chinese broccoli, great grilled tofu (and i rarely rave about tofu- who would?!). what i wouldn't order again: grilled squid, and the crabmeat noodles soup which you can also get as a dry dish. the squid - idk if they season it? - didn't taste like any squid i have ever eaten and generally i enjoy squid. there was something icky and smoky about it and we all thought it was super chewy. and, the soup looked delicious, but the base had a really sweet tang to it. i definitely do not like 'sweet' soup. i don't know if it is supposed to be sweet - but it was. i would say the meal was overall definitely enjoyable. i don't blame the restaurant for soup i didn't like - i just read some thai soups are sweet and i guess this is one of them. i would just not order it again. i have also ordered phos (not here) which were sweet and next time just found ones that weren't. didn't know what the base here was and will ask next time i order a soup i'm unfamiliar with. but the squid def- was no one's fave. and one dinner bud was a pro diver who knows seafood he said it was just too rubbery! as we chewed and chewed we thought yup, true! glad to have come back after a long stretch of other thai spots. and would def come back again. just know as some others have noted, there is a 'trans [transaction] fee' of roughly 3% when you use a credit cart. i know all biz costs are rising so... not the worst thing in the world, but not the best. would for sure come back and chow down again though. i would just inquire more about dishes that were new to me and what to expect.

My cousins and I were in the area and were really wanting the Fresh Crab here. I've never had raw crab before and never cared to eat it, but they had me try it here, and it totally changed my mind on raw crab. Now I'm into raw crab because of this place. So, the Fresh Crab with Spicy Lime Sauce was a hit at our table. So was the Raw Shrimp with Spicy Lime Sauce. The other items we ordered was also good.

Landed here after a bar run to Rancho bar in Altadena. We left one great bar scene to regroup at a great Kate Thai eatery on Hollywood Blvd just east if Western. Has appetizers of roasted duck, calamari. Thai tea, steamed rice and Tom yum Kha. Phenomenal
